I would like to replace an O-ring when I clean my old American filter (model 584090), but I just can find it online by the model number. Could someone please suggest where I can find one or what alternative I should look at?

I took your advice. I chatted twice with them, and both times they recommended the same o-ring which I eventually ordered from them. Here is what I got.
