What adapter do I need to connect the air compressor to the pump?

As the title says -- what sort of adapter do I need to screw into the side of my pump to connect it to the air compressor, so I can use that to blow out my lines? Is there a specific threading? I have a generic Hayward superpump...unsure of the type of air compressor since it's my brother-in-law's that I'll be borrowing.

Thanks!

Look at post # 1 at the bottom. You will need an NPT fitting that attaches to the air compressor and is screwed in to the pump housing. If you remove the screw and bring into to your local hardware store along with your compressor hose, they will match everything up for you and you will be ready to go.

Cool -- that was option #2. Just wondering if anyone happened to know the threading for a Hayward superpump off the top of their head. ;) If not, I can definitely go this route.

No need to drill the top for a NPT fitting as you already have the opening on the bottom. The drilling part is for an adapter, which in turn hooks up to a 1.5" hose and to the Cyclone, which is a professional pool blower.
