I want to thank everyone for their expertise in getting my pool back to swimming condition!!!

All the chemical levels look good. We had rain yesterday, no sun. I expect that is why the FC is high.

My question is about weekly maintenance. I was a AquaSilk user before going to liquid chlorine. I had a weekly schedule I followed to add chemicals.
I read the pool care basics. Would I need to check PH and chlorine levels daily? I do not have to add any algaecide? Seems pretty straightforward, but I want to be sure I am doing everything correctly.

Pool Care Schedule

Just clarifying - I typically test for FC/CC and PH most days (not every day, because I have a SWG, and I'm lazy). I do try to test the Hottub every day tho.
Once you get a sense of your specific pools needs and demands, it gets easier - my pool uses a lot of FC every day - it's in direct sun pretty much 12 hours a day these days, and even with plenty of stabilizer, that eats through FC - but I know where my range should be, and as long as it's in that range, I'm not too worried.

Once a week or so, I'll test for TA/CH/CYA/Salt - I don't expect them to change significantly, so I don't need to test every day.

We tend to swim daily - my wife likes to scoop any floating debris out with a net, although the solar cover catches the majority of it. I'll usually go around the waterline with a brush, and we have a robot that sweeps the bottom pretty much every day. Once a week I'll maybe brush the sides if I'm feeling particularly industrious, or I'm in trouble and need to be outside for safety reasons. I check the filter pressure maybe twice a week during cotton-wood season, but otherwise, once a week with the big set of tests.

Thats it - keep your FC/CYA levels in the recommended range, do some general housekeeping, and your pool will shine.

I have been using the pool math app to add chemicals to my pool. Today on the PH test, I noticed that the table in the Taylor book said to put in 3.8 oz of borax. The App said 10oz. What one should I follow?

Can you post your current test results, and what you are targeting ?

10oz of Borax in your pool is going to alter the PH by about 0.2 - 4 oz is less than 0.1

Which should I use as a reference? The Taylor pool book or the Pool Math calculator? Below are my results. I have been using the Pool Math calculator as a reference.

You don't need to test CYA, CH and TA daily - unless you are working toward a spedific goal or suspedt an issue.
CYA and CH monthly
TA twice a month max
