Y'all are so good, I haven't had to post in a long time, my pool stays perfect!! Thanks!
Now I have a problem though, I am currently using my second 26" Waterway filter, the first developed a leak at the top of the seam while under warranty, and was replaced. Now the one I have is leaking from EXACTLY the same place, its about 3 years old. My question is, is anybody else use this manufacture for their filters? I need to replace ASAP, and probably go with another kind. What brand do you suggest? I really would like one the same size, so I don't have to change any plumbing. My pressures on the filter is 20 PSI, and has been since day one, and I backwash at 24-25 PSI.

If staying with a sand filter these are great.. :)

Pentair Triton 2 TR60 or the TR100 is a beast... You will also need the multiport valve...

If you want to switch to a cartridge filter the Pentair clean and clear plus 320 has been a rockstar for 9 years on my pool and I bet it lasts another 9 years :)

If they send a new one every 3 years I am not sure if that is better... if you have to pay any money for a filter that keeps failing... if not much money I guess that would be ok... It would be nice to have a filter that lasts 20 years with no issues :)

The pump and filter are equal parts the backbone of the operation. Fancy deck chairs mean nothing if you don’t have a beautifully clear pool to sit by and enjoy.

We all have bills and more pressing things to spend our hard earned monies on, but this is one instance I would splurge on something that’s considered boring.
