We currently have a 200 sq foot Waterway Cartridge filter on our pool. The serial number on the housing body sticker barcode is CW2-83142.

So taking our filter out of the shed today, I found what I believe is a 1/4 inch "breather tube" broken off which goes from the bottom of the unit and has a small cloth filter zip-tied on the opposite end of it. I need to get a new tube and a new white fitting it goes into.

Does anyone have a schematic of this correct filter assembly they can forward so I can get the two correct part numbers? I have seen the tube on other filters but have yet to see the white fitting on any.

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

CW2 sounds like a Waterway Clearwater II system. I have the same system (in 150 square feet), and mine does not have a breather tube like that. Looking at a parts diagram, I don't see that as a part either.

Does the filter function without that there? Any leaks or anything?

Worst case - an entire new lower filter assembly:

I'm about 80% sure that little white fitting comes off. If you can spin it a half turn to the left, Your trying to unlock it, not unthread it. After that you should be able to just pull it off. If that does not work then it is threaded in. You can just plug it as is. It only clears air for about two feet of filter tubing, you can still clear the air from the filter without it while it's plugged.
