Water Temperature sensor leak

I have a leak and was wondering if I need to replace the sensor probe or is there an O ring that I can get at the local hardware store that will fit? Also, would this have anything to do with the SWG reading a much lower than salt level than my Taylor kit?
Thank you

There is an o-ring under the sensor but honestly, those temp probes cost like $20 and are easy to replace. I would just replace the entire sensor rather than try to find an o-ring to fit it.

There is an o-ring in the sensor.

You can find the o-ring $10+shipping.

Or replace the sensor 30$ for OEM, or 10$ aftermarket.

I’m sure the o-ring is a standard size and, if your ACE Hardware is like mine, you’ll find it in the aisle-long o-ring section that has every possible combination of inner and outer diameter o-ring both SAE and Metric … and it will likely cost 40¢

Yeah, I thought that he should go to ACE, and I forgot to add it. Great catch.

No. That sensor has nothing to do with your SWCG. The IC40 has a thermistor in the flow switch it uses for salinity. Be ware that is a weak point in the IC units.

The SWG is reading 1550 and the taylor kit is 3800. Is the thermistor the only thing that would cause the low salt level or could it be that the SWG needs to be cleaned? I have a question about cleaning but will post it in the more appropriate SWG forum.
