Very new and have no idea how to use Taylor k-2006 test kit

Hi,
I've opened the pool and it’s pretty clean. I can see to the bottom. The pump has been running for several hours and I’ve vacuumed several times.
Last summer I used the pool math calculator to add household bleach and kept the pool crystal clear and the best it’s ever been in 10 years. But I was basing it off of results from pool store test results. I’ve received my Taylor k-2006 test kit and read the book and instructions twice. But I’m so confused, I really have no idea what to do! My learning style is best when someone shows me, explains it in plain English and lets me do it. So these instructions are killing me.
Help please!

I had used some in the past so I had a general idea. Things to remember are that water is not flat but elliptical. You want to look at the bottom of the curvature when measuring. For the three basic tests (fc/ph/ta) you will be using the larger side of the vial. The FC reads for two different measurements. It's as simple as how close you want to get. By .5 or by .2. Using .2 just fill to the amount stated (think its 25ml) add the powder, mix, and then the drops until it turns clear. The drops are multiplied by the factor of water amount you used. In the above example .2. This gives the FC. Doing the TC requires you also multiply by this same number. PH and TA are pretty straight forward of add X drops of X.

There was a lot of overkill in the book on using the supplied index wheel and lots of stuff on what to add. I simply left this alone and used the chemical calc on this site. The top of the box has everything you need to know on actually doing the tests.
