Vacuum Hose Length

Hi, I have to replace my vacuum hose, so I measured a very old one I am using. It measures a little over 42 feet with no stretching of it. Does any one know if this is a 40 foot hose that stretched, or a 45 foot hose because it might stretch to that length?

Thanks
Chris

It's probably a 40ft with a little stretching from many uses.

What's your pool dimensions ? Did it reach the far corner with plenty of slack or was it banjo tight ?

I am getting a shorter one as there is a good bit of slack - I measure 27 feet from the skimmer to the furthest point of the pool (plus 3 feet for depth). I have a 35.5 x 16.5 Grecian shape. I was considering whether to go with 30 or 35 feet. If the thirty was really only 28 feet long and needs to stretch, 35 would be a definite. Now I am still considering which to get. Thanks
