Upgrading or replacing a 20-year-old Polaris 280

I'm new to these forums and am wondering if I can revitalize my Polaris 280 or replace it with a newer Polaris.
I'm thinking of replacing the 7 swivel valves so the hose doesn't tangle as much, but I read another post where that didn't help. Have others had better outcomes replacing their swivels? I no longer have the backup valve, as that stopped working a few years back. But it gets tangled way too much
I'm also thinking that with it being around 20 years old newer models should work better. So looking for recommendations on which Polaris model to consider. I was surprised to see they still offer the "Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 Our most popular automatic pool cleaner" which has good reviews and costs $600 on Amazon.
Appreciate feedback and suggestions.

Thanks,
Joe

I prefer the Polaris Quattro. It cleans much better than the 280, but is more expensive. It climbs walls with ease and scrubs like a robot.

Seven swivels? There should only be three. Area you talking about the hose-floats?
