You want stranded 10 gauge THWN you will have buy each color individually, so the 10/2 does not apply. One reason wire in conduit is ran individually is to help with heat dissipation, I suspect that is one reason for no romex in conduits the jacket keeps all the conductors too close together.

Buying 125' x3 conductors of stranded #10 THHN at my Home depot would be 375'x.49c=$183.75.

A roll of 500' of #10 THHN stranded per conductor is $76.47 each, 3x$76.47=$229.41 They (Home Depot) do not sell 250' rolls

If you local store has 250' rolls, it sounds like it would be much cheaper than paying for it by the foot.

Never hurts to have some wire around for future projects.

Try to find an electrical distributor in the area. On things like this they should be so much cheaper than a big box store. Some things they can't match the big box stores on, but they should be able to beat their wire prices.
