I found a very large (foot or more long) turtle covered with algae that had walked into pool and got stuck in skimmer. Was difficult to remove because it fought back and snapped, but I finally got it out and into the pond next to pool. Turtle probably spent 60 minutes in pool. Free chlorine at 3.5 when title came out (stabilizer 70). So good level of chlorine in pool.
Question - should I increase chlorine as a preventative measure? I could turn up salt chlorinator or add liquid bleach, but not sure if anything is necessary. Pool has been crystal clear since April with good stable chlorine level (after shocking at start-up).
