My neighbor gave me this, claiming the control box was bad from being rained on. I found the control box was fine, but the swivel in the cord was bad. I deleted it with a cheesy waterproof splice for testing purposes and it works. Kind of. If I deem it worth it, I plan to use a 3M Scotchcast resin splice. We used them for underwater welding, so they will be fine for 29VDC. Buying a new cord of course is an option.

The thing moves like it is supposed to once I turn it on, but it seems to get stuck in the same spot in my pool at the radius under the waterfall. I can see when the propeller turns because it causes turbulence on the surface, and it seems to only turn on in bursts. When its on, the robot climbs, scrubs at the waterline, walks wall etc. When it doesn't turn it obviously gets stuck in corners like this. In this spot it just goes up wall, then falls down when the propeller turns off, only to repeat the cycle back up the wall. Any ideas?

Firstly, should the propeller be running full time or not? I would think so, because if not, there is not always suction to pick up debris. When I had it apart messing with the cord I checked and the propeller is clean without hair or anything else jamming it. Is there anything I can do besides replacing the motor box for 300ish? I saw a YouTube of a guy fixing one of the motors with a 3 dollar bearing, but his motor was fully seized up. This guy gets good suction when it turns, it just doesnt seem to want to turn full time. The treads turn no problem. Is it even worth fixing? I am switching to a 3hp VS soon, and I want to ditch my suction cleaner.
