Trouble reaching out to Coverstar (SF Bay Area)

Hello! Our PB just told us that they have tried 8 different times to get a hold of Coverstar to price a pool cover from them, and when they finally got through to them, it was the same kind of challenge to get pricing from them. They have been at this for over 2 months and are concerned about the flakiness and are not advising us to use them for any aspects of our project. Is anyone else having similar issues with Coverstar? We are in the San Francisco bay area.

The PB is recommending Aquamatic and Pool Covers, Inc. Any feedback on them? Thank you!

Do you mean coverpools?

No.

Track is pitting, bond wires on the cover corroded off and they can't explain why (and still have no plan to fix), I ended up installing the lid myself because the techs who showed up were incompetent and couldnt figure it out, takes 4 weeks to get any sort of response from them whatsoever, to name a few. If your PB said you have the opportunity to try something else I sure would. The cover itself is very nice quality - I just think they've gotten arrogant with the flood of business from the last several years and quality has suffered on some components.

Oh gosh sounds like a nightmare. Four weeks to get a response to anything is completely unacceptable. Customer service doesn’t appear to be a priority for Coverstar. With the amount of money spent on their products customer service should be high on their list.

No my PB didn’t provide any options, but I didn’t ask either. I wanted a Coverstar cover because during my research it was the only one that had a completely sealed stainless steel motor. I will definitely inquiry about other cover options now. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I wish you the best moving forward with the cover!
