This season I've been doing so well for not getting algae; but recently we have had some summer storms and low the bottom was green. I've done my shock and passed OFCT so all back on track. I was chatting a colleague and he has recommended the us of:

Natural Chemistry Phosfree

My question is should I be adding extra chemicals to my pool? does it really make a difference? We have a salt water generator and have always worked with the maintaining FC, CYA, Salt & pH.
value the communities thoughts!

No. There are very rare instances that phosphate removal is considered. And then one should have their own phosphate test kit and use quality products from SeaKlear or Orenda.

Have you been following the FC/CYA Levels? Usually algae appearing shortly after a storm means there's already a problem that's just waiting for a minor change to explode.

And you mention "shocking" but does that mean you just added some chlorine or did you fully follow the SLAM Process to completely eradicate the problem?
