As the title states, if you have fore features do you use them (beyond the initial honeymoon period)
We still have a punch list for our pb to complete (while he has not sent someone he does at least still respond that he plans to 🤦‍♂️)
This has left my brain to process all the additional stuff that could be done while the project is incomplete. One item left on the punchlist is for the completion of the French drain behind the 36" rbb at the back of the pool. Since this trench is not filled and will need to be additionally cleaned out/dug out due to the rains we have had I am contemplating running a gas line to facilitate addition of 1 or 2 fire bowls. I have already gone down the research rabbit hole and determine that 1 could be added (diy) for under $500 all in. We had a 1.5" propane line run to a future BBQ island so I have a relatively easy path to connect to that. The propane is 2 stage with a high pressure regulator at the tank then a low pressure regulator at each fixture which gives me well over 1m btu capacity.
As a secondary component of that potential project, though at a much increased cost, also have additional 120v wire run that I could easily add automatic ignition thru our intellicenter. I'd be curious to see if those that have fire features use the more when they can be automatically started versus needing to open a valve and manually light.

We have a fire pit with a gas burner attached to the pool. We use the fire pit when the weather allows. Obviously we don't turn it on during the summer as we don't want the additional heat.

We are still in the middle of our build, but I was advised by two builders that the auto ignitors inevitably break down so the manual ignitors are much more reliable and they save you money on the price of the bowl, too. Another way we saved money was, rather than having bowls with fire and water, we had sheers put in under the bowls. Hope that helps a bit.

I have fire/water bowls. We don't use them much due to the constant wind and cost of gas. The wind also has a tendency to blow the water stream coming from the bowls onto the surrounding decking.

I have the early Grand Effects. I don't know if the design has changed over the years but it really is a pretty simple mechanism. One other thing I like about them is that it shuts off the gas valve if there is no flame so accidentally leaving the gas valve open is not a problem. For me if the wind is strong enough to blow them out they re-ignite in a couple of seconds.

We have a gas-fire bowl on our deck, but I can't say we use it much. Michigan tends to be somewhat binary - either it's too hot/humid to sit by a fire (and you'll get eaten by mosquitos anyway as soon dusk hits), or no amount of fire is enough to thaw your face unless you actually do the whole marshmallow thing and rotate yourself above the flames...

Makes for a convenient table...

Thank you , that happens to be the one I was looking at so good to hear!
