New here on this forum:) I purchased a pool from them and the #1 reason I purchased from them was because they actually answer the phone. I was amazed at how many companies I contacted and asked simple questions that they didn't know or had to get back to me. When I called pool factory they were very helpful and answered my questions on the first phone call. Happy that I went with them. I stumbled upon this site hoping I can get some help as I see others have been helped.
Anyhow, hoping someone can help me with my green pool. I have tried everything, went on vacation and timer did not work and now I am struggling to clear up my pool. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Emma and Welcome !!!

You stumbled upon a thread from 2021 and at that time, the people discussing it had an unpleasant experience but that was their own thoughts, not TFPs. Maybe they had terrible management for a spell and it's much better these days. If you dig deep enough, you'll find plenty of positive thoughts. :)

And especially in that general time frame, customer service was abysmal across the land during Covid and the shortages thereafter.

We can certainly, and happily clear your swamp. We need lots of details though.

List the pool specs, the equipment including model #s, your test methods and frequency, anything possibly relevant.

Have some reading.

@Newdude thank you for your response. I have an Aquapro 190 with a 2hp pump, and a Solaxx Retro Jet salt system, 15x26x54 Saltwater Aurora oval resin pool, (which i love by the way) i have been testing it every day levels are fine and I cleaned the cartridge every couple of hours because it get clogged. I added algaecide and shocked it just dont know how long it will take to clear up. Would love to swim asap.

Sorry didnt see your links above. My levels were fine. Ph and alkalinity, salt levels are good. I will read all the links above and try your suggestions. Thank you so much!
:hammer:
How are you testing your pool? Do you use the test strips? Are you using a suggested Test Kit?

Besides the inaccuracies, test strips are simply way too vague to be of use. So they're 0 fer 2 there. We need to know CYA to a 10, and 0, 30 to 50, 100, 250 (or whatevs it says) is simply not even close.

Test Kits Compared

Each round of green pool costs more to clear than the legit test kit, which will last a year or two and stop the green pools.

Emma,
To clear your pool you need to do the
SLAM Process.
To be able to do this you must have a proper kit with the right tests in it.
The Taylor k2006c +salt (various online retailers)
& the tf100/pro +salt (tftestkits.net)
are the only ones that contain all the right tests.

Until you get one of those in you can add 5ppm worth of liquid chlorine to the pool each day (pour slowly infront of a running return, away from the pool wall & brush)
to keep things from getting worse until you can properly do battle.
Add nothing else.

Once you get your kit in, do all the tests & list the results here like this
👇
Fc
Cc
Ph
Ta
Ch
Cya
Salt

& we will help you get going on the right path.

Ps- the Aurora is my fave pool!
There are many here with great experiences with pool factory for the reasons you mentioned. Not sure what you read but it sounds like a one off compared to the many positive posts that I have seen here through the years.
