The pool cleaner/poolvergnuegn won't move much

Hello everyone.
I have a 4 wheel pool cleaner that will move when it wants to in about a 4ft radius in the deep end. It has good suction no obstructions. I brought to a pool store to have it checked out. They didn't see anything wrong with it. I replaced the drive gear and the front and rear gears last year and it worked perfectly. Now it will just go in a small circle area. I swapped the wheels to see if it would change direction and it didn't. It will start and stop at random. I can my put my finger in front of it and will stop it when it hits it. It's at least 7 yrs old. Is it repairable or is it time to get a new one?

How much flow or suction is it getting?
Are the tires spinning in the deep end?
Are you running a VS motor?
What speed are you running at?

If they are spinning and it is not moving then it is traction.. If the tires are not moving then it is the suction not being high enough..

I have a vs pump and very good suction. No matter what speed I run the pump at it acts the same. It will move out in a straight line a few feet once in a while. I know this doesn't help much.

You can easily take it apart and see if any of the gears a broken.. Mine stopped moving and I had 2 broken gears.. Replaced them and it is doing great another 2 years and still going strong

Ok finally got it. A couple of the gears had worn teeth causing it to pause. Replaced them and added a fresh set of tires and it's back in business!
