I have 1-1/2 flex PVC that has a 1/4" blowout in it under a skimmer. I cut the section out and was hoping to just slip a coupling on it, but the flex line is swollen about 1/8 to 1/4" larger than the nominal size. Any advice on how to get a coupling to fit?

The pipe is probably 30 years old.

It’s not advised to use flex PVC underground (is it above ground or below?) Probably just need to dig up what’s damaged and replace it with rigid pipe and couplings.

Replacing all is going to suck but that was the first plan. After digging and finding the hole, I was hoping that I could replace this short chunk.

I’m going to try a heat gun later this week. The pipe is about the same size as the OD of the coupling, so it’s beyond cramming it in.
