I've tried to put my pump on a timer with no success. Apparently every time the pump turns off the GFCI trips. So when the timer comes back on the pump will not start unless the GFCI is manually reset. Has anyone had this issue, and if so, is there a way to make this work?

i had that problem last year too. what i did was cut off the GFCI on the pump and put a normal plug on it. then i switched out my normal plug with a GFCI. worked great after that
So since my timer is plugged into a GFCI outlet, I should be okay replacing the plug on the pump? Of course this will void any warranty I'm sure. Thanks for the response.
