Start Up after acid wash questions

We are just about to perform our first acid wash and tile cleaning. The Pool is about 12 years old and it was probably needed a couple of year ago.

Here is a link to my Build Thread if anyone is interested.

My main question is how to I need to handle the chemicals. With the original build I was told that I could NOT use any stabilizer for the first 30 (?) days. So I ran the stabilized tablets. Since that time I have ran almost exclusively liquid chlorine.
Do I need to do the same again, since basically a new layer of the pebbletek is exposed?
I plan to pull all the lights and clean inside the wells real good. I'll also try to get all the skimmers cleaned up.
Is there any other maintenance items I should take care of while the pool is empty?
I do have 1 Large LED light that has failed, but I won't be able to get that coordinated this weekend.

Here are a couple pics of my terrible looking pool

You do not need to follow plaster startup procedures after a maintenance drain and refill.

You can immediately add CYA and adjust water chemistry as necessary.

What about the drain covers? That’s usually a funky hiding spot as there will often be a dished out place underneath the cover.
