Staining vs Painting Concrete Coping?

Hi folks,

I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas (or brands) when it comes to staining vs paint concrete pool coping. Our pool coping has seen better days and while last year it didn't bother me as much, what a difference a year makes. I was thinking of painting or staining it before the summer pool season hits in SoCal.

IF you want to do something I think I would use stain. I think paint would just peel off over time again. It is going to be a mess to clean that up enough to do much of anything to it though

I agree with Kim. Paint will peel again. But I think to stain you have to strip all the old paint so that wouldn't be easy.

Thanks for the replies! I'm leaning toward staining for a more long term goal but painting it might be more feasible. Though, once I hit with a pressure washer I might change my mind. lol.
