Alright so I have a few questions. I have had a leak on my s7m120 cartridge filter for awhile now. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with it. The leak comes from around the clamps so what I was thinking is that it was the o ring on the filter. I replaced the o ring with no luck. I have tried putting it on lubricated and not lubricated. I have gone around and cleaned every spot of where the o ring touches. I have looked very thoroughly for any cracks and have not seen any. I even put the clamps on in the order listed in the manual but to no evail. Is there a possibility that one or more of the actual clamps could be bad? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

Due to the age I think you already said what may be going on-the clamps. :( 11 yrs is a long time for something made of fiberglass and lives outside 24/7. I would think about replacing it. You might be able to replace just the clamps but the age worries me.

What type of lubrication are you using? Silicon based is required (pool-lube).
Does the o-ring fit tight around the base? i.e. do you need to stretch it just a little to get it on?
Do not over tighten the clamps. A back and forth tightening method per the manual is best.
Check for any small cracks in the filter base and top.

---- EDIT ----

I have some older extra clamps I could send but I doubt they are bad unless they are not tightening. PM me if you want to try a couple.
