Solar rings?

Would homemade Solar rings be nearly as effective as a Solar blanket at night to retain heat? I’m struggling with the Solar blanket. I was told I must remove it daily or CO2 will build up and increase acidity causing damage to the pump etc.
Reels are too expensive and unreliable for above ground pools.
I was thinking of triangular shapes to minimize gaps.

Anything covering the water is just as effective.

A cover only needs to be removed daily if the setup has the following conditions:

1) Blanket covers 100% of the surface of the water.

2) You are continually adding something that lowers PH such as acid and/or Trichlor pucks.

And even with that, daily may not be necessary. Weekly should be sufficient.

However, it is fairly easy to avoid that situation by making the cover slightly smaller than the pool surface and/or stop adding products that lower PH.
