Sodium carbonate vs bicarbonate

I bought a box of this:

Last season thinking it was sodium bicarbonate. Oops.

Any chem gurus out there know what the difference is?

Need to get the TA up... Grabbed this read the box and decoded to post.

That will raise the TA a little, and raise pH a lot. It's also known as Soda Ash and sold in fancy packaging for big money in the pool stores as "pH increaser." For your pool, every pound will raise pH .22 and TA 7.1

Ahhhhh. That makes sense. I must have bought it when I was going to acid wash the spa.
