Was curious your thoughts for Indiana Salt pool. We have friends that have a simple shower (basically an inverted cane shape) in the grass a few feet from pool where they can stand on edge of concrete to shower off. We don’t have a pool house.

Is something like this recommended ? Not sure if anyone will shower before or after pool anyway.

Would you have one?

I do not have one. With TFPC water I feel great getting out of our SaltWater pool.

Take care.

Wade,

I feel cleaner getting out of my saltwater pool than I do after a real shower, so for me anyway, there is just no need to "shower off"... :p

If you can smell chlorine on your body, or bathing suit, after you have been in the pool, I think there is a chemical issue somewhere.

On the other hand, it can't hurt so do it if you want...

Let's see what our other members have to say....

Thanks for posting,

I love my outdoor shower and I use it before getting in the pool and after I get out. When working in the yard I rinse off the dirt and sweat before jumping in the pool, makes perfect sense to keep that out of my pool water. Also if returning from a bike ride or tennis match I rinse off before jumping in the pool of course. After using the pool and before I dry off and get dressed I step into my outdoor shower and may even soap up and wash my hair before a good rinse rather than using the shower in the house. An outdoor shower in the summer time is a real treat. It is simple to install (cool tap water system) quick and easy to use and waters my plants at the same time. I say get some PVC pipe and a nice shower head you will love it.

I had plans originally for an outdoor shower, but then discovered TFP and I'm like the others, never feel a need to shower after. I suppose I should before swimming after working in the yard. A hot shower would be nice for the kids when they swim a long time and get a bit cool or cold. I'm sure it would get used if we had one in a clean handy place.

I built an outdoor shower from stock galv pipe at Lowe's last summer... it's way more sturdy than any off-the-shelf outdoor shower solution I could find. I just keep it inline with a garden hose that stays on all season long. It's awesome for showering off after mowing the grass and the kids love to play in it. I added a tap midway up for washing your hands too.
