Siesta Key Pool Stool - could this work without inviting algae?

I was looking for some pool stools and these came up:

The instructions say that you fill the bottom with rocks, then let the stool fill up with water from your pool.
Not sure how this would work --- wouldn't algae find a home there?

Yup, unless you could move it frequently so that fresh chlorinated water could get under it, and in/around it.

Hi there! We have had no issues of our own or with customers having an algae problem because of the stools. They are sturdy but easy to move around in the pool. If you take them apart at the end of the season, you'll find no algae inside as long as you are properly maintaining your pool. If you have any additional questions. Please feel free to ask!
