Should I use o-ring lube on the plastic union that connects my pump to the Hayward filter.

Had to disconnect the pump from the filter for pump seal repair. The Hayward Superflo Matrix pump was connected to my Hayward earth filter with a plastic union. When I reconnect the pump to the filter, should I rub Jack's o-ring lube on the mating serface on the union plastic ball and socket?

Won't hurt anything to do that. Should absolutely use lube if you disturb any O rings.
