Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great summer!

I am new to fiberglass pool and my pool has been having a lot of spots which I can't seem to be able to remove with brushing and has also started to get some rusted small dots at many places.

CYA: 30 (I will raise this to 70)
PH 7.5

Please see attached pictures of the spots and rust dots.

Can anyone please provide assistance in getting rid of them ?

Thanks !

Follow the stain identification process and let us know what the results are...

Thanks ! I will def try this for the spots.

How about the rust dots ? How should I proceed with them ?

thanks

Put some vitamin C tablets in a thin sock and crush them up. Hold them on the 'rust' spots. See if that removes them.

Do realize that fiberglass can get cobalt spots. Cobalt is used in the construction and if the surface coat breaks down and the chlorine reaches into the core, cobalt spots can result. We have some. Not much you can do about them.
