Setting up above ground pool - does wet sand under pool matter?

Hi, getting ready to set up intex 32’ x 16’ rectangular pool. Got mason sand spread for foundation then had day after day of rain. We had tarped the area but didn’t work real well...1st dry day today, uncovered it, it’s fairly wet.

Can we set the pool up on somewhat wet sand, or should we wait for it to dry? If we need to wait, how dry do we need it to be? We have a few sunny days forecast right now, but this time of year here (Tulsa, OK) tends to be fairly rainy.

Thanks!

I don't think it would matter much, if anything it might help it settle and compact. I have the the same pool as you but its 12x24, the base for the legs seem to be the most critical thing imo.
