Selling an above ground pool

It's a tough call Northie. I'm on the offer up app and click on every pool I see. Some are asking for 75% of their new price and some are free to whomever will remove them.

It's much harder to take down a pool needing to reassemble it. Then they need a new liner and a handfull of nuts/bolts that broke and possible a random bracket or 3.

The trick is finding the right interested party that wants to pay you for them to remove it. I've had useful, perfect i tems that I couldn't give away, like this Propane tank. It has a little rust but could be exchanged with the first fill up for a new tank. Yet 169 people have looked at the 'Free Propane tank' add and decided to pass.

Best of luck to you either way.

I sold a brand new 24' above ground pool with new liner ( in the box), brand new filter, bonding kit and all accessories for $3k. I installed it and filled it n then drained it 2 days later n it sat empty for 3 months and I removed it. Right now, with the prices skyrocketing, and pools hard to find, your chances of selling them for more money is greater. If we were still pre pandemic times, they'd never hold their value. If the pool is not going with a whole set up as I had, you probably won't get as much as I did. People are going to have to track down parts for replacement, liners which are hard to find n take forever to come in and then factor in the age of the pool. Anything older than 3 years old the pool rails and walls become rusted and start to fail. Your profit starts to plummet.
