Self clean on Intex SWG?

Wondering about the self clean mode on this Intex SWG. Manual says push the button to set how often it will reverse polarity. When I push the button... nothing happens. No light, sound, numbers changing on display, nothing. Am I missing a step or is something broken?

Machine works fine otherwise Just want to keep it maintained.

Good morning. I see your question just sitting in the unanswered list. I don't use that model cell so I'm not sure. Did you ever get an answer or figure it out?

I figured it out in a very surprising and unconventional way. I read the manual.
I read it when I first set everything up, and I thought I remembered what it said. Looked at it again, and the piece I forgot was "press and hold for 5 seconds." Works fine
