What is the total capacity, if full, of a sand dollar SD80 p/n 145333? I decided to complete a deep clean and was shocked to find only about 1’ of sand inside. I estimate my pool to be 27-28k gallons, so believe it should be 200-350 lbs of sand. After backwashing, I generally have about 20 pounds of differential on the gauge.

The sand should be about 2/3 to 3/4 full for most sand filters. Unless you remove all the sand and replace with a known weight of dry pool filter sand, it's difficult to get the amount exactly as the manufacturer states.
