Safety cover spring covers

Has anyone tried these? I just ordered 12 to see how well they work. The regular plastic covers seem to deteriorate after a few years.

Would be interested in hearing what you find when you get them. I believe they will deteriorate faster than the normal sleeves, given they are a soft material.

I have been slowly replacing my spring covers with this type of material, you may have to experiment with 1.25-1.75 ID to get it right...but you may find this has better service life. Let us know what you find!

Is there any reason the covers are really needed? I’ve stripping them one by one off the springs as they have cracked and everything seems to be fine without them

I assume they keep the springs from rubbing on the pool deck, especially where there is snow loading the cover down??? IDK?
