Actually a great product. I bought an Aquabroom years ago and was not impressed. The Pool Blaster Max has good suction and a thick filter to hold silt and sand.
I have a Maytronics Robot for my main cleaning. But there are 2 issues: 1) I have a spa that the robot can't clean. 2) The robot does not clean the stairs and sometimes misses a few tiny bits. The Pool Blaster Max was able to clean my 7x7 spa in about 2-3 minutes. I mostly get little grains from my tar shingle roof in the spa. In the pool, there are always a few stray bits (parts of Magnolia Blossoms) that the robot misses, mostly in the corners and stairs. With the pool Max Blaster at the end of a Standard Pole, in about 2 minutes they are gone (25,000 gallon pool).
The bag is really a thick filter. It trapped a lot of fine dust/dirt. And the suction was strong enough to pickup the tar granules. But it is small. 3" in diameter and 6" long, so about 42 cubic inches. More than enough for my needs. The downside with the thickness makes it a little difficult to invert for cleaning, but not too bad.
Compared to a standard hose attachment and suction setup, far easier to setup and to move around the pool. Plus, the junk ends up caught in the filter bag, not in the pool filter.
So, if you need to clean a spa and/or spot clean a pool, this is great. If you need to clean a bunch of leaves, not so much. The filter bag is quite small. Get a good leaf rake (Purity Pools has great stuff!) to get the big stuff from the pool. Then spot clean with the blaster max to get the fine stuff.
Again, the Maytronics robot does the majority of the work. But I like this for quick spa and spot cleaning.
