Replacing pump for 12 X 30 Intex Prism Frame Pool -- 1000, 1500 or 2500?

I have a Intex 12 X 30 Prism Frame Pool with a few issues. My pump died. It was this pump: INTEX C1000 Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools: 1000 GPH Pump Flow Rate (every time I turn it on it flips the breaker and I have outdoor cameras using the same breaker so I'm ready to replace it--bought it in 2016.)

I have a neighbor who wants to try and help me hook up it up to a really huge pump--I have an old one in the garage that I am not sure works from an old pool that was five feet high and I'm not sure how wide. We are supposed to work on this today but....as I attempt to fill the pool I am finding that my plastic hoses have leaks. So I may try tape on those to see if it will hold water so I can experiment with this pump....if this pump doesn't work he wants to help me find another big pump off Craigslist...he says than I will have a pool with rapids to float it and will always be clean.

However, in the end I will be the one maintaining the pump, so I am thinking about purchasing a new one. I am thinking about this one: "Intex 28633EG 2500 GPH Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump System with 1,900 GPH Flow Rate," or maybe this one: "Intex 28635EG 1500 GPH Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump System with 1,180 GPH Flow Rate" because it uses the same filters as the one I currently have. Or maybe I should just stick with the 1000 GPH?

I appreciate any advice. I would rather be spending today IN my pool than trying to get it fixed, LOL.

You would be better off with something like this from Doheny's:
Treat it right and it will last a long time and be less maintenance.

Thanks very much. That's going to be a bit out of my budget right now.

As it turned out with my neighbor...the old pump I have from a larger pool won't work unless I get a filter to go with it....he has an old Jacuzzi hot tub filter hooked up to a large pump and then has PVC pipes flowing the water into the pool---he has the same size pool as I have. But he is a pretty handy guy able to do stuff like that...
