Hello, my pump is fried (started on fire after getting flooded), so its definitely dead and I need to replace. I'd like something very similar, but doesn't seem possible to find a Pentair on the market 011028, and 011056 are not available anywhere that I can find. Considering a jump away from Pentair, but want something similar in performance and features. Anyone have any recommendations?

Look at the IntelliFlo3 011075. It looks like that is the new model replacing the 011056.

The 011075 seems unavailable most places... Another question.. given that my pipes are 2" and filter is a Hayward C2025 supporting 73GPM do I even need a 3 HP pump? Maybe I should consider s step down? Anyone have thoughts on the

Jandy FloPro 2.7 HP

VS pump is variable horsepower. You run them at low speed 99% of the time. The higher THP VS pumps use less electricity to push the same amount of water as the smaller VS pumps.

Search Calimar pump if you want to consider a budget pump.

No one needs a 3HPVS pump.

Just about no one runs their 3 HP VS pump at full speed.

The main advantage of a large HP VS pump is it will be quieter at whatever flow rate your pool and equipment needs.

Yeah.. I didn't make these pump choices.. "professionals" did. Anyway, I'm finding out that I don't really need the 3HP... considering JANDY FLO PRO or HAYWARD TRISTAR. Any thoughts on which direction is better?

Are you going to DIY install or get the pump from an authorized dealer and have them install?

Of the two choices I would get the Hayward TriStar VS.
