I purchased from a replacement cell for my Jacuzzi SC40 a year ago. The cell I purchased in July 2023 from SaltCellSupply.com has a OEM manufacture stamp of 1999. Wondering if they sold me a used up cell?

The cell worked for 3 months until I shutdown pool end of Sept. In June of 2024, I added 800 lbs of salt and turned on the Jacuzzi chlorine generator. SC40 hasn't produced any chlorine that I can measure. After letting it run for a week I had to SLAM.
I am still adding granular every night. The Jacuzzi SC40 r is not smart, in that there is no fancy control panel. An normal LED, and Water LED. Thats it.

So far, I've emailed SALTCELLSUPPLY.com. I have also left a voice message to saltcellsupply.com as well as a web message. No Replies so far.
I may have been sold a poor or used up cell from Saltcellsupply.com which has NOT provided responsive service.

DO NOT buy from SaltCellSupply.com . I will post updates if they get back to me, and keep their word concerning warranty.

It makes my spine shiver whenever I see those 5 year warranties offered (in this case 2 yr full, 3 year prorata).Hopefully you don't have to ship the cell back to Australia in order to get a replacement.

The website claims 2 distribution locations in the USA. NO response from this company, so they don't even rate as pathetic in my book.
I classify them as a Sketchy company which doesn't offer stated warranty once they have your $$$. Don't Buy, Don't Buy from SaltCellSupply.com.

I am going to purchase a new machine from Chinese OEM on Alibaba.com. Once I have it running, I will take pics and do a review.
The new machine will cost less than a new cell from retail pool store $650, which doesn't provide warranty unless you pay them to install.

I expect Cost + shipping to be around $400-$500 for a machine which will make 50 grams per hour.

Which vendor, system, and cell did you choose?
