Repairing Cracks in Pump Casing/Volute

I found an older post suggesting use of a soldering iron to melt the pump casing material surrounding a crack. I gave it a try, and it appeared to work, but running the pump opened the crack back up. Has anyone had luck with another method, such as epoxy or melting fiberglass mesh into the crack? Or is there a good source for Pentair IntelliFlo replacement parts? I live in Texas, where there was recently equipment damage throughout the state, and finding parts/getting help has been difficult.

I doubt the cracked pump is repairable.

Parts are hard to find. You have to call around and get lucky.
