I have a salt pool with a Hayward Goldline system with Aqua Logic controls. I bought a foreclosure home which was built in 2006. The pool has worked well most of the time. However I started having a problem where the system wasn't working and kept telling me "No power cell 2". Testing the power cell found it was working. When I asked Hayward about the problem they told me it indicates that there is a shortage within my control panel. I can't afford a new control panel [Goldline Controls PN: G1-06600BN-1. So I'm searching the web for a reconditioned one or someone who can repair my panel. I'm willing to ship it to a responsible repair person.

Re: Hi, I'm a diver and a fossil collector, which is where my name comes from.

Hello and welcome to TFP! We're glad you found us. :) Say, with all the winter storms this year, by any chance is the pool water chilly - say below 60? When the water gets cold it interferes with the SWGs ability to work properly and produce chlorine. Just a thought in case that's part of the problem. If not, some other automation gurus should be by soon. In the meantime, use regular/plain bleach as needed to maintain the proper FC level until you can get it worked out. Have a nice day.

Pull the main circuit board and look for burn marks on the back.

Post pictures of the front and back of the board if you can.

Hi Texas Splash, :tasty: Thanks for responding! Started having problem in warm weather, so good thought, but not the problem. Using lots of bleach.

Bottom picture, lower right brown spot.

Touch up that solder point and that will probably solve the problem.

There's a black box relay upper right top picture. The leg solder joint has failed, which is the usual problem.

If you can't solder, run it by any electronics repair shop. It's a quick and easy fix.

THANKS!!!!!! I'll try taking it for solder Monday. I've soldered 45-50 years ago, but inexperience could rune the board. (my 'Fossil' name also works for a 64 1/2 year old. Though I feel young, I found while moving furniture today that my body doesn't always agree :( )

Just get a soldering iron and some solder. Plug in the iron, wait a minute for it to heat up, touch the tip of the iron to the solder point then touch the solder end to the point.

You just want to get a clean connection at the spot. Don't overdo the solder because it can run through the hole. Just a little bit should be good.

You can get a cheap soldering iron and some solder at most hardware stores.

There are many videos on YouTube that show how to solder to a circuit board.

THANK YOU!!!!! You saved me LOTS of money! More important, my salt system is back up and working! I'm selling my house and pool and down sizing to a smaller home w/o a pool, so I probably won't be back on. BUT I will be making a donation in thanks for your help.
