Radiant pool winter cover

I am a new pool owner. First time closing pool for winter using beaded cover with 4” coping. I have too much cover left over. Is there a trick to installing? My pool is 24 feet round.

That’s odd- perhaps they sent you an improperly sized cover with a manufacturer defect? Those are supposed to fit pretty exactly. I would contact them, explain the problem & request a replacement as they aren’t cheap.
