Questions about repairing an Artesian (Wilbar) Pool

I was going to replace the liner in this pool a year or two ago, and then I found out I had 2 rusted uprights. The project then got put off until now. I'm still not 100% sure on the parts I'm about to buy. I had to do a bunch of research. Apparently Artesian Pools was just an importer, and did not manufacture the pools. They are defunct, and none of the part numbers on the original pool's paperwork return any results on Google. I eventually found out that their pools were manufactured by Wilbar International, who is still alive and well. The specific pool model is "8500 Series Echo Canyon II Ultra 54" I found the upright listed on INYOPools for an Artesian Sandy Point 54", which is also an 8500 series pool with a different pattern. This is where the confusion sets in. The upright is 51 3/4" and it's under the section "Uprights for 52" Tall Pools" on their website. That length is correct according to my parts diagram that came with the pool as well as my own measurement. How exactly do I have a 54" pool with 52" uprights? Is anyone familiar with Wilbar/Artesian Pools? Is this a true 54" pool or is it a 52" with some marketing wank? Are above grounds measured by the wall height or the actual depth? It likely is 54" in the center, but not near the edges. Like... is it common to have a 52" pool wall and the ground "dug out" a little to accommodate a 54" liner? This wasn't the cheapest pool when we had it installed, but it wasn't the most expensive either. I'm still not sure whether to buy a 52" or 54" liner, and I can't find any mention of the liner on any of the paperwork I have. It sure would suck to unbox and spread it out only to realize it doesn't fit.

Bumping your question to get more eyes on it.

I should think if your pool is a 52" pool, then it's 52" . The top rail and coping will add height, won't they? I'd call Inyo and talk to them about your predicament.

INYO seems to use a support forum where their employees and community can answer technical questions. However, they appear to be absent from any recent posts... assuming due to reduced staff and/or being super busy. I shot Wilbar an email though. Ill update this thread if/when they get back to me.

I'm also not sure where I should be measuring from. One website says to measure from the top of the bottom rim. If I do it that way, I get 52". If I measure from the bottom of the rim I get 54". I'm also not 100% sure how long this upright might actually be after I dug it out a little more. The bottom is obscured by the boot its sitting in.

Update: Wilbar got back to me with the correct part number (35292). This was for a 51 3/4" upright. This still didn't make sense to me because they offer a 53 3/4" upright too. If a 51 3/4" upright fits my 54" pool then what does a 53 3/4" fit? I ended up taking one of the bad uprights out and actually measuring it. It was 51 3/4". I figured out why this is. If you have the "deluxe boots" instead of the standard bottom plates, you use a shorter upright. When the upright is seated in the boot, it only inserts part way and the boot adds 2" of additional height (see attached photo). I've now ordered the 2 correct replacement uprights and a 54" 25-mil liner from INYO and will update again when I get everything installed.

For anyone in the same situation with a Artesian/Wilbar Echo Canyon, Cypress, Sandy Point, etc:

54" Pool with Deluxe Boots: 51 3/4" Upright
54" Pool with Standard Bottom Plates: 53 3/4" Uprights
52" Pool with Standard Bottom Plates: 51 3/4" Uprights
