Question on Hayward Pro-logic with color-logic lights

I am trying to sift through the manual and see how the pro-logic controls the lights and changes the colors via the Pro-logic.

I have 2 pool lights and 1 spa light.

Looking at the wiring it looks like currently its wired to have all the lights go on at the same time, I was hoping to have the spa light separate.
I know they have to finish up a few things but im missing where the controller actually controls the lights.

I kinda just want to know ahead of time so I know they install all of this correctly.

If you have one Intermatic PX300 light transformer box then all lights are controlled through the PX300. The PX300 will get its power from a high voltage relay in the ProLogic which is the way the lights are powered on and off.

You need separate PX300 transformer boxes connected to separate Prologic relays for each group of lights you want to independently control.

You have four high voltage relays - Filter/Pump, Lights, Aux1, Aux2. Looks like Aux2 is available control your spa light through another PX300.

ok, that makes sense. So how the heck do the light colors get controlled in that configuration?

Im not 100% sure, the niche is for a 6” light in the pool and 1.5 inch in the spa. I’m assuming the pool ones are the universal color logic and the spa is the color logic 320. The pool company hasn’t dropped them off yet because of the winter months.

Using a ColorLogic modem AQL-COLOR-MODHV and Coupler LKBUN1000, owners of Hayward Pro Logic PS pool/spa controllers using software version 4.45 or greater can network their LSCUN11xxx and/or LPCUN11xxx Universal ColorLogic light(s), allowing them to fully control the color, speed, motion and brightness of preset light shows. If the lights will be networked, refer to the AQL-COLOR-MODHV ColorLogic Network module for programs and operation instructions.”

I’m hoping it gets installed that way. I don’t have any type of switch installed on the pool so I assume the color changing will be done through the prologic controller???

I just don’t see that modem thing they talk about. Maybe they still need to install that.

Spoke to the electrician, it looks like all 3 lights are hooked up to one relay. He said to change between colors you just keep hitting the light button after you first turn them on. Still waiting on the actual lights to be installed.

That is the old non-networked way of light control.

What is the benefit of the network module? Is this something worth wile to install myself?

It lets you light a color directly without cycling through all the colors with a lot of clicking of the lights on and off.

I don't know if the information to install it is available outside of a Hayward dealer.
