Hello,
I'm looking to get a AG pool this summer and the pickings are pretty slim right now (at least where I live). Our local Walmart has the Coleman Vista 18 x 48 for $398 in stock. It's the exact size we are looking at for a good price. However, I've been reading reviews and the biggest issue is that the windows leak after a while. I've also read though was that it was a specific batch of pools that they shipped that had the leaking problem and the issue has since been resolved. Most of the reviews I read with leaking windows were from a year ago.

I'm curious if anyone has had a good experience with this pool or any other feedback? My ideal would be a 18 x 48 Intex pool but those just aren't available right now. There is a few Summer Waves pools available at Menards in the size I want but our last pool was a Summer Waves and while it was fine I didn't like the way they do the skimmer and found it difficult to convert to my Intex Sand Filter so I'd like to go with something more compatible.

Thanks!

Those windows have been a problem from the beginning...........as for it being fixed..........I don't know..........I guess you could take a chance with them planning to put flex seal tape all around them as a prevention.............plan for the problem to prevent it kind of thing.

A coworker had 2 that leaked almost right away. Its an unnecessary gimmick that is begging for trouble.

My windows started leaking last August. It was out of warranty, but Bestway sent me a new liner anyway. They've redesigned it so the liner comes over the edge of the windows on the outside now, I hope it lasts. I set it up about 2 weeks ago because I had time to do it, but it's still too cold to get in.

The plumbing is pretty much the same as the Intex we had previously. I have the tiny filter it came with connected to an over the wall skimmer. The heavy lifting is done by a Columbia 50 lb sand filter.

You might can tell by my profile picture, our first pool was the Coleman Vista-18' X 48" with windows. I guess we were one of the lucky ones, as we never had any issues with leaking-or anything else for that matter, it was a great pool for us. Our grand-daughter loved it and it was a positive enough experience that I was able to convince the hubby to upgrade last year. We live in Colorado, and he never felt the swim season was long enough to justify a pool. Of course when the grand-baby asked her Papaw to "build her an ocean", we put in a pool! ?

I bought one at the end of last year on clearance and just set it up. I watched this guy's YouTube about it and looking at his, compared to mine, the windows are definitely more sturdy looking. I have almost 1" of lip compared to his video where the edge appears to be right at the window. Mine overlaps the edge of the window.

I purchased this type of pool last summer and haven’t had any problems with the windows leaking

Can you share how you connected your over the wall skimmer? I am trying to figure out how I am going to connect my over the wall index skimmer to an additional Intex pump I have. I am using the original pump it came with and will have another intex one the same specifications for my skimmer.

The pool has 3 holes in the wall. I use the one on the right for the pump inlet, the one in the middle for the skimmer basket, and the one on the left for the eyeball/return. The skimmer return hose is zip tied to the top rail. It helps form a whirlpool that brings the dirt to the middle of the pool.

There is the updated vista 2 that is basically identical to the first one except they modified around the windows as the vista 1s had so muc issues with leaking. That guy in that youtube video has bought a vista 2 this spring and said the windows had been reworked with the liner from the 1st generation. I think they had to do more work with the windows after all the complaints and leaks they were getting before.
