We have enjoyed having a 18' X 4' AGP for the last 6 years. Just replaced the original with a new one last summer. We use a sand filter and salt water system. This winter we bought a new house that has SynLawn artificial grass in the back yard. We thought it would be great to put the pool on. But this week I called the installer just to check it that it is OK and he said he feels the weight of the pool will permanently damage the turf. He can't say for 100% sure because he doesn't know anyone who has done it. He told us what the previous owners spent on the lawn and we were shocked -over $20,000! We can't ruin a lawn that expensive in order to have the pool up for 3 months. The kids are devastated.
Does anyone know? Has anyone put a pool that large on Synlawn? Is the guy correct? There is no where else in the yard to put the poll but on the lawn.
