I am looking to replace my 6-year-old Super Pump 2 that's too big with a variable speed pump. I like the reviews on the pure line but wondering if anybody has used them and can provide feedback?
Mark, any luck on a replacement pump yet? Your question is gathering a bit of dust, so I guess it slipped past everyone's site .... until now. So feel free to use this thread and re-post as much as you need to until you ge the replies you need to resolve your issue. Have a good day.
Yea I did and like it so far. I bought a 1.64 hp Pureline from inyo and am pleased. My filter pressure dropped from 13 to 7 with new filters but still have enough water flow for waterfall and pool cleaner..I run mine at 3100 RPM's at night and drop to around 2600 most of the day. Still playing around with the speeds but even at 4psi I still seem to have enough water flow.
Another big plus is the motor is a LOT quieter which is a big plus
I run my filter 24x7 from spring to late fall so should help a lot on the power bill..I know I don't need to run it that long but it is attached to our house and we enjoy looking out and seeing the waterfall
I replaced all my 20 year old Jandy space saver valves and increased the top part to 2" so took a few days. Now I need to replaced the ball valve in the return, almost impossible to turn
