Pump breaker tripping

We have an AquaLink Touch RS-8 Combo installed in 2017.
After a pool party yesterday I noticed the pump was not running. All skimmer baskets and pump baskets are clear and were clear when the breaker tripped. (They were cleaned out just prior to the party and were still clear when this issue arose.)
In either Service mode, or in Auto mode the pump breaker trips immediately upon turning on the pump. The breaker stays on until I turn on the pump - then it trips. I tried uploading a short video showing in Service mode, the breaker is ON, then immediately upon turning the pump on, the display lights turns on for a quick 1/2 second and the breaker trips. Unfortunately I don’t think I can add video. But I added a picture of the breakers.

Other functions on the RS-8 seem to be working fine in both Auto mode or in Service mode: lights, waterfall pump, air blower for the attached spa, etc.

Any idea or suggestions of what to check first, second, etc? Before calling an electrician?

Thank you!

If the breaker is tripping instantly (less than a second) then it is likely that there is a short circuit in the wiring to the pump. If there is a bit of a longer pause (several seconds) and the pump hums that would point to either a seized rotor, or a failed start cap. Next debugging step would be to pull the covers off both the circuit panel and the pump's electrical compartment and inspect for problems. However if you are not experienced at doing your own electrical work this would be the point to call the electrician.

With a GFCI CB it is usually tripping due to a GFCI fault.

The label says on that pump CB is also your Ozone, UV, and heater. It could be any of thsoe devices tripping the GFCI.

Putting multiple devices on a GFCI CB make it more difficult determining which device is causing the problem. You have room in the panel for another 240V CB. I would put in another CB and move at least the UV and Ozone and maybe the heater to another breaker.

Is there any signs of water drips around your pump?
