Anything that will sit down in 2 of the notches at the same time. I shouldn't be on there too tight. Only tight enough to seat the o-ring. Once its loose it should come out easy by hand.
Thanks again guys. I was hesitant to use a channel lock wrench or similar for fear of breaking the piece but I'll go that route or maybe just a thicker putty knife.
I am getting a high limit 2 fault error message after just a few hours of the heater running. The filter has been freshly cleaned and water flow is really strong so not an issue with that. Figured my next step is just to see if there is anything to see on the unitherm governor. I'll report back.
