Proper 1.5inch to 1.25 inch skimmer plate adapter?

Hi everyone. I have a typical blue pool hose that is a 1.5inch , but my skimmer plate is 1.25inch. I can't seem to find the proper type of step down adapter... you'd think it was simple but I can't find it. Here are some photos. Any ideas? A 90 degree one would be perfect but those have threads on them. The other adapters look like just attaching the blue corrugated part to another smaller corrugated part. I want the actual white 1.5 inch end to fit into that 1.25 hole.

The hose should fit into most skimmer ports without using that plate. What’s under the skimmer basket? Do you have a 1.5” port? If not this should work

Yeah, the hose fits directly into the skimmer port without the plate thus bypassing the skimmer basket. I want to use the skimmer basket as a prefilter for vacuuming so we don't need to keep clearing the pump filter...

Get a new plate. There are only a few sizes of skimmers / baskets and it was easy to not screw them up with 5.25, 6.76 or 8.5 inch (I forget the actual #'s but they were similar)
