Problems with Hayward Swimpro Voyager

Hello,
Second year owning a pool and this year it has been giving us a headache. We are having problems balancing chemicals and now the filter is making a loud noise and vibrating. I’ve read here about adding tape but I haven’t found any pictures or videos on how or where.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
