We have some inflatable balls that look like ornaments that we want to put in our pool as decoration. Can someone recommend a weight that is safe for pools that won't discolor or damage my pool. I have a saltwater pool with pebbletec. Thanks for any recommendations/suggestions.

Welcome to TFP!!!

Fill a gallon (or 1/2 gallon) milk jug with sand to about 1/2 way, then fill with water. Tie the rope to the handle and drop in...

Can you put some water in the balls?

Maybe about 10% water to add weight.

Maybe use fishing line to keep the balls in a specific location if that is what you are going for.

Tape or crazy-glue a length of string to the ornaments (unless they have a spot you can thread the thread through) to keep them upright or in the orientation you want them to be in. Fill ziplock-style bags with sand or rocks and thread the string/fishing line through the top and sink the bags.

That black VHB (very high bond) tape works everywhere, though you may never get it off your decorations. Maybe put a small wire tie on the decorations with the VHB tape so you can easily use them again next year.

Merry Christmas!
